At Appleton North, both Matt Hechel and Abby VanderLoop have been fortunate to be the Alternative Educators for the past several years. Based on need in 2021, the Bolt Academy was started. This SWS featured seniors who needed the smaller school community to get back on track and hope to graduate with their class. Using a variety of curricula and approaches, the Bolt Academy has been extremely successful. This year, the Bolt Academy worked with Author Shaney Andler as she launched her new book, "Back Pocket, Tools for Teens Struggling with their Mental Health.”

VanderLoop, Andler and Hechel will share their programming and ideas on how to create the Alternative Education Classroom Culture that will drive the results you want in your school.
